Misconstrued Thoughts : Yesterday's Misconstrued Thoughts Today

So as everyone knows, I am not a fan of the radio... True here and there in some college towns there are scattered stations producing what they can rightfully call music. Music of course should be a form of raw creative form, not pure marketing effort.

Yet today in our world of Britney Spears (has been), Christina Aguilera (has been)... the mass produced singer continues.... unfortunatly I was told today that Paris Hilton has now reached the pinacle of music depravity... being taken in by the tv brain burnt children of this country.

I am a fan of music which focuses on talent. I'm also a fan of music that is just creative.. maybe lacking the talent side (I am Bouybee Uybee after all). But when you put both together... what you get is POP.. or will POP your creative mind. However Paris Hilton the person who makes any human with any ability to think shiver is disgust, has taken this to the next level of pathetic. I don't call this POP music.. hmm whats more destructive than a POP (somthing poping)? Something Exploding... Yes my friends we have entered a new era the era of Explode music.

Do yourself a favor keep the radio off and head to pitchfork media the home of real artist and music.

Well where do you get your music? Are you a music person? I came across a website called LaLa yesterday.

Basically for a dollar you can trade a cd with anyone else. So you put up all your CD's then trade. Will it work? I don't know. I put up some of my junky CD's I can't trade in town.

So while Mikes antics truly are to be imortalized... there are some who have ventured even further into the realm of mentos and good fun...

Ok, so by now i'm assuming you realize that the combination of Mentos and Diet Coke, makes a fountain of fun. This is becuase the reaction which makes all the CO2 escape from the liquid. It's really amazing and you should try it.

Here is a sample of what happens... (in the picture above, there are lots of videos showing this....

Yet as is our method here at misconstrued...

...it was time to take it to the next level with Mikes help....

First We would attempt to have mike drink the Diet Pepsi Canon... would it be possilbe to drink this fast?

This Video shows that it is not possible.

Next we would try to eject the Pepsi out of Mikes mouth...

This Video shows that didn't work either.

But Mike wanted to "try just one more time... it was ok with the rest of us, i've not laughed that hard in a while".

So final attempt, with a smaller opening, would mike be able to pull it off?

...Or would he just be the first person to drown in Pepsi on dry ground?

And there you have it...

Tomorrow we will look at some other experiments and performances on the web with Mentos and Diet Coke.

While waiting... go on out and try it... its the most fun you'll ever have with a Diet Drink.

As I travel I try to find not just the local food.. but the local resteraunt. That unique place which has food like no one else, or that serves the common food but people pack the place out. The latter is what Ben's Chili Bowl in Washington DC is.

It was 1 AM and Matt (my cousin Summers Husband) and I were walking back from a techno show. There was Bens... at 1 AM the place had a line going out the door for people tryin gto get there chili dogs.

The place has apparently been around forever, suriving race riots in the 60's alot of the block was burnt down but Ben's actually stayed open.. everyone loved the place.. even when tention arises. While decor is not what this place is . The chili is pretty spicy and its a meal worth remembering. So go get your chili dog at Bens. IT comes with potatoe chips too! The best 4 bucks you'll spend on a hot dog.. just plan to wait in line whatever time of day it is.

So this week we'll travel around to a few places I’ve been in the past few months. I need to shed a pound or two... and this is in part due to traveling. The joy of traveling is to see what the local food of choice.

In January I traveled up to Cincinnati to Visit my friend Carnell.

While there I discovered that Chili is king in Cincinnati.

Skyline Chili has hundreds of restaurants. And what do they serve? Chili on Spaghetti with a ton of cheese on top. Now you've never ate chili that taste like this, and they say that its a guarded recipe. All I have to say is... Why? Very odd that’s the nicest way to describe its taste. But unique for certain.

So If you are ever passing through Cincinnati... grab you some skyline chili.. Get the 3 way (what is 3 ways? ... chili.... cheese... and noodles... or 4 ways... add onions.. or 5 ways... add some red beans...

Oh and I learned when you get it... eat with the short side of the plate toward you. I was obviously a rookie to all the natives who were like.. why is this confusing to you?

So chili(which taste like nothing but chili) and spaghetti... a unique flavor you have to taste to experience.

Yeah so people are like... whats up with the site? Well from being sick, to helping with weddings, to wedding photography, to public talks, to Pioneering, to working... things have been pretty busy.

But I'm back and I hope to make things normal again around here...

Oh and graphic arts... made a logo for the shuttle... the imaging program I work on...
