A few things I don't understand...

OK ... just one. Here in Hunstville since we have seen the rise in gas prices there is a large discrepancy in the price that people are charging. Some stations are charging $3.05 while others charge $2.87. Why? How can there be that much difference from one brand to another, from stores 1 mile away from one another?

It is odd, and odd that our gas price system depends so often on odd parts of our society. Sometime hearsay, some times truth.
Its pretty amazing how much gas has gone up in the last couple of years.

But one thing is for certain. At least here in the US, the price is regulated. (Prices watched, price gouging illegal, and there is a reserve in case something such as Katrina occurs to prevent total chaos) (Man it would be rough in Canada).

But oh well prices will go down, and then go back up again and then... well maybe we needed more dinosaurs back in the day eh?
Keep up with the latest gas news and see when it will be cheaper.

So what are you paying? Would you like to rant... its your chance... come one come all.

Everyday I drive 45 minutes one-way to work. It's sad when you spend over half of your paycheck just to get to work. The solution: a hybrid vehicle that will dazzle automakers. I like to call it an FPV (Flatulence-Powered Vehicle). Not only will this new retention invention change gas prices, but it will also make the stock market soar for such goods as soda, beans, and onions. It will cause companies such as Taco Bell to thrive. However, one must also count the cost. Stocks for companies that make products such as Beano and Gas-X will suffer. But its time for a change.

At least Alabama's gas prices are consistently below the national average. San Diego gas costs are consistenly higher than the average across the board. It's always fun when our gas stations compete with San Francisco stations for the highest fuel costs in the nation.

Gas in NE Ohio has always been 10-15 cents lower than the national...currently the average here is at 2.75 (high end at 2.80, low end at 2.65).

Here in MI gas went from $2.59 to $3.49 in a matter of about 12 hours. You know its the same gas they were just selling for $2.59, how can they get away with that? It was right before labor day weekend too...hmmmm....sounds a little suspicious don't ya think?

ok, so i know my situation could be worse but I drive from hendersonville to WKU (bowling green)3x's a week for school! 120 miles per day! Yikes, how about i sell everything i own to make money for gas. it's times like this that i wish i had a horse or a bike, or maybe lived like 60 years ago when women weren't allowed to go to college & then this gas thing wouldn't be an issue. ok, so maybe tht last part was a bit exaggerated, but you now what i mean....you know i control what i spend, if i don't want to spend $100 on shoes i don't have to, BUT i really resent having to pay for gas. there is simply no way around that & i really hate feeling financially controlled. is that too harsh of a statement?
