As with any list there will be descrepancies but...

No Bruce Springstein
Pearl Jam - Ten is number 91
U2 gets 1 album and its not even Joshua Tree?

I have to stop thinking about it before I get any more bitter

Boo to your lists and their evil ways

I've never understood why U2 is supposed to be so great... sorry masses of followers...

Bruce... hmm nope not seein that either...

and for the final moment of disagreement... I never got Pearl Jam as profound or special.

This completes the complete disagreement with the desired additions....
btw..

i dont agree with that top 100... as you'd hope... If i was puttin NWA at the top, prob be bad eh?

Only they agree with it. It's impossible and a bit pointless to say any single album is the best because music is about opinion, media appeal, and record sales, not about whether it's technically good or not.

For the record I've never gotten thre whole U2 thing either.

I don't get the Radiohead thing myself but that's just me. There are tons of people who don't like good artists. I for one am one of them. Because apparently Radiohead is good. Who am I to dispute that? If you don't get it, don't worry about it. There is probably something you are missing or it just isn't your thing. No need to say otherwise. Like NWA. I'm sure most people don't get that one. And it definately isn't on any of my play lists now but it took a lot of talent to put it down like they did.

That makes me wonder about whether moral content makes a work of art any less meaningful. Does profanity make gangsta rap less artistic? Does a violent movie mean it isn't the masterpiece it could have been if there were no violence? I'm not encouraging anyone to lower their standards in the name of art. Not all art would be appropriate for people with sound morals. But does it make it less of a work of art if it does contain certain material?

well in my opinion we definitely have to be selective with any art/entertainment especially if we're not to offend our loving Creator or stumble someone, as for spin's list they got radiohead right but hmm...i thing the Smiths would be #1 for me, 2nd radiohead 3rd jeff buckley (gals this guy HAD a beautiful voice)4th Post by byork 5th belle & sebastian 's dear catastrophe waitress( omitting 1 or 2 songs from it- i like that twee pop - weird huh?) i'll stop here
whats up with "stankonia" being 23? hmm...
the last 50years best album the White Album from the Beatles

Art is a form of creativity... that could be bad immoral creativity... which is apparent is highly connected to art. Therefore, it doesnt make it not art or non creative, but something I dont want to grow to appreciate.

Grow to appreciate? yes, thats what I consider those artist I like the most (such as radiohead) I used to didnt get them, until i understood the complexity.

There are many on this list that I find shouldn't have a home. Hole? I hardly would put them up there.

But I agree with many listed...although they should be higher Portishead, Modest Mouse, Pixies, Fugazi, Belle and Sebastian, Moby, At the Drive In, Blur... among others.

dito!

At least they didn't put just one type of music on there. I like the inclusion of Run D.M.C, De La Soul, D'Angelo, and other hip hop and rap artists. That genre sometimes gets a bad name from other artists in the same genre. And The Miseducation of Lauren Hill needs to be higher. And what's wrong with Stankonia? I'd put it up there. But this all comes back to personal preferances.

sawry no offense to the Stankonia fans...tru' dat to personal preferances, and Lauryn Hill is one of my favs actually and neutral milk hotel they should be way up, whoa these 2 completely different artists together in a sentence...tis funny
signing off..
