"What is it with you and Mud?"
Yesterday I was asked that question, and I'm not sure the answer to the question really. I do know that I like to get good ol fashioned dirty. Maybe it stems from living on the farm? I dont know. There have been several moments where I have fully found the glory of mud fighting.
Early on I remember going down the river with Larry Franklin, I remember, my first mud fight ensueing... good times, and noted forever.
Then several years later we decided to walk toward the back of the farm, in the heaviest rainstorm ever. We once again broke out into a redclay mud fight, and also swam across the pond. Good times!
Yet even recent years. I remember taking the boys in Knoxville camping right before I left that there city. We muded it up... to the point you couldnt tell who we were. Of course the one kid was a feared of his mother, and requested no mud to the hair. We agreed">.
This then brings us the huntsville days. Tommy took me on a nice adventure into a cave, where crawling and slinging led to much mudness. Yet, it also led to sculpting; face sculpting that is">.
Then there was the other cave expereience last summer.... brining in a whole host of increased mud appreciation.
This takes us to this weekend where Phil, Tommy, Kat n I walked down a stream for another round of mud slinging goodness. Some of the most pliable mud I've ever seen, it led to a nice recreation of Valerie (Miracle Max wife from the Princess Bride). Man good sculpting mud... (and good mud slinging fun!
So you slung mud lately? If not its time to go get dirty, and enjoy a good time. Don't worry, it'll wash off... (its just hard to get out of the ears).

Count me in for the Mud-Appreciation-Weekend...we got disgustingly dirty and muddy from taking cement and bricks to a dumpster...cement & brick pieces, mortar, plaster, dust, gatorade and sweat make a nice muddly concoction all over!
Never felt so unfeminine...

Jilly! You're back from the west coast!
When I first visited this wonderful website...I was at first um..concerned by all the pictures of people in mud...(jk). But maybe, just maybe it's a southern thing, cause noone up north does that-
or maybe my friends are lame...
