Planes Trains and Automobiles

Well what was to be an interesting trip has turned into what we shall tearm my annual trip of a lifetime.

If you've never heard me speak of my "Annual Trips of a lifetime" Well..... its something we termed on a video a few years back. What have these annual trips of a lifetime been the past few years?

1999 1st annual Trip of a lifetime

We (Nathan, Mark, and I) went to North Dakota did unassigned territory, then drove to Canadian Rockies, and backpacked in Glaciar National Park and Badlands National Park, an amazing 5 week trip.

2000 2nd annual Trip of a lifetime

On a whim we (Nathan and I) decided on Tuesday to go to Alaska on Friday. It was short 6 days, but now I can say i've been on every road in alaska

2001 3rd annual Trip of a lifetime

We (Nathan and I) headed to the Desert southwest, I did have the flu, which certainly took away the enjoyment, but went to several natinal parks and saw most of southern New Mexico, Arizona, and South West Texas. Also backpacked in White Sands New Mexico. (One of the oddest backpack trips).

2002 4th annual Trip of a lifetime

We (Mark and I) headed up to British Columbia. Since it was the furthest location that we could travel with the coupon I had found, we ended up there. We visited Prince Edward Island, and saw parts of south west BC. Also met the Schedels and others in Vancouver, good times.

2003 5th annual Trip of a lifetime

We (Stephanie, Jillian, Vay, and I) headed over to South Africa. This probably is the trip of the lifetime of all trips of a lifetime. Not only did we go there, we went on a roadtrip across the country, with moments of lions, wild dogs, machine guns, and other good times.

2004 6th annual Trip of a lifetime

I went up and met my friends in North Dakota and we rode the Maah Daah Hey Trail. This is the longest single track in North America. A one week ride which test your endurance.

2005 7th annual Trip of a lifetime?

We'll head out this weekend for Philly and DC. The reason? To see the Dali Exhibit in Philly. But thats just the start, then along with my dad, we'll head across the country by train to chicago then San Fran. There we'll do a little road trip into northern Cali and Oregon.

So while i'm away, i'll try to post pictures on the moblog. We'll see what happens.

What?! Hawaii didn't make the list?! We took an 18 mile hike through several different landscapes and saw an erupting volcano, visited two internationl conventions, and had five guys showered and ready for meeting in 12 minutes! I feel slighted. Myers, you put Hawaii on the list! Oh yeah, cliff diving and snorkling of the southern most point in the US and seeing World Championship surfing at North Shore.

So, what's everybody elses best vacation/trip? Where would you most like to vacation/travel in the next five years?

Oh, yeah ... that definitly is in the list... hmm we'll put that up for the 2005 trip of a lifetime (we were there for 2005 a little... it was somewhere between 03-04. But for sure thats on the list... and yeah it beats north dakota, sorry north dakota... but yeah thats the 04 trip

i don't understand; is hawaii 04 or 05?

hmm best trip of a lifetime is going on right at this momment, europe. The place I would like to travel to next is south america(represent..ana if your reading this) would be great to pioneer there and teach english.

uh sorry no 2005's should be in that Hawaii comment. So make it the 2004 TOAL

I hear ya jude...so far this trip is number one on my list. Probably cause I'm on a trip while writing this....but hey it's a good one. hey tremaine if ya like cliff jumping and snorkeling, you should try it in the greek islands. Consider that in the next 5 years. Oh and once again, I'm with judi on South America.

Well I can't wait for this trip; it should be a blast!

Yes! South America! This thought has been passed around for awhile now with Myers and a few others of us. I think that would be a nice trip to plan. But not in the next year. I'm pretty busy. But lets say next winter (winter 2006) we head to South America. Machu Pichu and Patigonia and Terra Del Fuego and Argentinan sisters among other attractions. Make plans now. Start saving up.

Hey Judes!! South America sounds great, we should start throwing around ideas when I see ya this summer!
Best trip I have had for sure was Costa Rica in December, so awesome!
I havent been to Dominican Republic, but I would love to visit, good times to be had there I hear and it isnt expensive either!!!

whoa! that does sound like a swell trip, have ya'll been to Mt. St. Helen's yet, thats where i'd like to go to, see if i dare hike that active volcano, at least i think it is. i've heard Oregon is beautiful that volcano is about 100 miles from somewheres in oregon. i'd loved to drive across the country from nyc to cali havent done that yet or visit europe riding the euro-rail to all those historic sites. if you goto so. america do visit ecuador it has enormous mountains & volcanoes to see or hike but some bethelites here say chile is awesome. if these trips dont happen now we got the new order awaiting us to enjoy Jah's majestic creations. have fun ya'll!!!

Oh yeah... forgot about that trip to Mt. St. Helens... hmm that was in 2001 too... Saw all of Washington State in 4 days thanks to Bechtel. Is that a TOAL? Hmm not sure, but I do know everyone should see Mt. St. Helens.

And yep look forward to really enjoying time all these places in the future.

That's totally awesome that you guys like to travel...Most people look at me like I'm psycho for wanting to -gasp- spend money and travel. (everyone here wants to get married at like 18-19).
That's still not stopping me from going to England next year! But with who...I just don't know...
Maybe I should move south....
