Look UP in the ... oh its Sky Friday
The day has come.... Sky Friday. Sky is a good guy... wait I don't like how this has started... sounds like a rhyme. Anyway, skylar is one of those folks who will do whatever ya ask ... (in good reason). Example, see quote Wednesday. Of course another good example is the whole Durian Experience... Sky was the only one man enough to try it (after I asked a few times.... that way we could be in pain together!) He's cool also helpin ya out if ya really need something... But lets put it frankly.. Sky is just funny... and likes to laugh... a good guy.
Thinking back there are alot of memories with Sky...
Of course who can forget "Still Works Baby, Yeah" The classic videos
Or who could forget that night I stole his car, and he chased me non stop for a good 2 hours... (If I hadn't jumped off that ravine onto the railroad tracks, I think he may have had me).
But there is one certainty.. Sky is a city boy. He may never forgive me for the 18 mile Hike I took him on to a volcano without water. He was in so much pain he said "My face is Numb" still don't understand that one... but ah well... guess he was dehydrated good times, and he survived (although he declared never to go hike with me again ... (although I had him thinking about the November Death March. True He's better suited playing video games I guess... (who else would carry a TV to Tennessee so he could be sure to have his own TV to play video games on).
(ha... then there was that time we went to the circuit assembly when I first moved here... wow we ragged that little Cavalier out... haha). ah the look on Sky's face as we drove across that median...
Oh and He did great on his #4 last week.. keep up the good work...
So that's sky, a funny guy... the inventor of many expressions,

Skyler! I've known Skyler for a long time, and like most people I first meet, I disliked him. He was chubby, and for the love of God, he would not push his glasses up. It bugged me to no end. And I'd always ask, why don't you just wear your glasses correctly? And he'd be like, because I like them this way, it makes me look cool. No, I'd respond, you look like a dork. So one day in the hall, he was walking by, and the culmination of all my animosity towards him somehow forced my foot to move into his path, and commit the greatest of all transgressions. That's right, this trip, both literally and figuratively, took me to my happy place, while it took Skyler to the floor. You should have seen his face when he got up. It still makes me smile today. Ah. . .
Anyway, I didn't see Sky for a while after that, we moved to another congregation and I remember thinking something along the lines of good riddance or whatever, and then I ended up back in his congregation. To his credit, he isn't the same person I knew as a child. He's actually really cool now, though maybe a tad bit exciteable, and yes he is down to do whatever will produce fun. Except drink a gallon of milk. . .but that's beyond the point. I still remember the night Jeremy mentioned, because I tried to talk my way out of Skyler's rage and he slammed me on the concrete. Sure I may have deserved that, but what made it even funnier to me, is that I complained about my elbow the entire night until he got upset.
But in the end, Skyler is, and always will be, my brother. Until one day when I push him over the edge of a cliff and yell Mazel Tov at him. That's just how the Hebrews get down.
I have no idea what that last paragraph was all about. Sky, this. . .is. . .your. . . FRIDAY!

Skyler calls me Tina, it never has bothered me, although he thought it did for a while. It was the funniest thing to him that a sister at an assembly thought my name was Tina, after that it just stuck, and now it is pretty funny. He is really sweet even though I always bug him about being dark and ashy. I have to give it to him, he didn’t think twice when asked to go outside, in the cold to get hit with paintballs. It looked like that hurt. Skyler is a good guy, Oh and he tells me he is looking to buy a New Kia, he loves that car!! :^)

I must agree with everyone else. "Skyrese" is great! He calls me sister KrunK, notice the two K's! I also have the suggestion to time him next time we go to Cracker Barrell to see exactly how long it takes him to eat those peach pancakes!

Sky, that's my boy. Oprah! Kay Pu Nah! What's up main? Dylon, Dylon, Dylon, Dylon, Dylon. I'm from the streets. I'll cut ya! Ninjitsu!
Those are just a few Skyisms. He has many. I remember some good sound bites from Sky. There was, "I've never sleept with a white guy before," when sharing a bed with Jerm. Then there was, "I wish I had white people's hair." And "Your breath smells like salt water and booty." "Need it. Gotta have it. Pain Paint Paint" Not sure what that ones about. Maybe some paint sniffing craze he went through. Sky is a good guy though. Definately has your back no matter what. Thanks Sky.

i like skyler - he seems like an all around easy going guy.
there is something to be said about a kid who doesnt think twice (or perhaps even once) before becoming the 'Cavia porcellus' of any given experiment.
sorry about the paintballs (hope those wealts are healing ok)

How could I miss the oppurtunity to talk about my boy sky.
The fact that sky will do just about anything you ask is true. Just ask him about the time he went road surfing nearly falling to his death (or at least severe scraping and scarring).
It was a dark night(as most nights are). We were on a delivery for a certain furniture store. Bored I asked sky if he had ever gone road surfing. Puzzled Sky says no...I proceed to show him how to do it and assure him that it is safe and fun. On the next delivery (or actually I think it was the same delivery - we forgot something) he tried it. He slipped and nearly fell out the door and onto the pavement. The look on his face was priceless. I laughed so hard I was brought to tears. Ahhhhh, thanx sky....you're the greatest.

Side Note:
Notice that in this picture of Sky, he is surrounded by women and looks like James Bond.
Nuff said.

Sweet, Johnny Storm. Ironically enough, he has always been one of my favorites. Top honors would have to go to Batman (although technically not a super hero). And then Wolverine, Gambit, and Spidey. But then comes the Human Torch. Well, he isn't as high up on my list as I thought. But still top five. And I was once very close to "flaming on" so it works out. I just have to get that whole ladies man image down and I got it.

It's funny I too like javann didn't like skyler at all and i don't know why really besides the fact he used to look like gary coleman. Now adays though me and him are boys we have many stories like riding the juice truck as we called it falling out, running behind it and peeling out good times. One of the hawaii stories that come to my mind with sky was a big wave was coming i saw it and skyler didn't so i took off and left without even telling him only when tre said "look out skylar"(irish tone) did he take to flight. In closing as sky says"you still my boy blue" i think that's what he says.

Its about time you got a Friday, Sky. Just between you and me, you're the coolest person from Huntsville. Heck, and even the surrounding areas.

when is mongo friday?
Posted by: MONGO | March 18, 2005 05:04 PM
Is Skyler Brazelton going to have to choke a Mongo? Don't you have some training to do? You need to be in superior condition to take on me, Skyler Brazelton, strongest man alive (because I literally picked up a three hundred pound Javann and sent him to his concrete demise). So to quote the ever popular Lil Jon, "Let's go. If you want it, you can get it, let me know."

One funny thing that I think about with Sky is when we were in New Orleans and the Big Sky let out an OPRAH!!!! And Jessica, Melissa, Erin, and Jocelynn was like Oprah! What tha heck??? You should have seen Sky tryin to explain to these girls the whole Oprah thing, evently havin to send an email tryin to explain it. Good Stuff. I think Sky should have to explain it on here.
You my boy, DARKNESS!!!!

Hey Skyler!! Going to the beach was awesome! And of course seein' ya at the assembly today!

I know this is really late but i don't check my email everyday [like some ppl ;-)]...... anyways, this is about Sky.... Cousin sky... Sky is one of my very special cousins who i can always depend on to protect me in any football, dodgeball, or whatever game, but there are exceptions like when i was little he used to give these "meal by corns" they used to hurt me but when i tried to do it to him, they wouldn't hurt him. Nevertheless, Sky is a really good person and I love him to death ;)
Posted by: Daphy | March 22, 2005 04:16 PM
Well I know this is really late as well. But anyway better late than never. So I have known Skyler for so many years now. Wow!how he has changed, but yet into a nice mature fella. Skyler is one of the most consistent and sincere people that I know. He is one of those people that will give you their shirt of their backs,in the drop dead cold of winter. We need more people in the world like ya.

I have known Skyler since preschool! Loads of laughs! I was thinking how funny that would sound if i said that about someone the other day. I was so little when i met Skyler i cant even remember how old i was. About six years out of my life my family and i lived on the South side. It was not until high school that i really got to know Skyler. Now we are in the same congregation. Everyone loves Skyler and I see why. Again, congratulation on the pioneering! Keep up the good work and Jehovah will continue to bless you.
