Hurricane Ivan Relief Work

@T= @ 0035 (Small).jpg

Well here we are in Florida supporting the Relief Work from Hurricane Ivan. The destruction here is widespread. There are over 200 homes that need roofs placed on them. But that makes it sound much to simple. On some of these homes, roofs need to be replaced so that the work to replace EVERYTHING in the house can begin. The home we are working on is completely gutted… When the family returned water had been 5 feet in the house…. They found a piano in the front yard. They found a canoe and other random furniture in their house. They lost EVERYTHING. One brother… all that remains of his home, is parts of a roof… on a few upright poles. To drive down a street and see the destruction really makes you feel for people! Its amazing to see our brothers come to the aid of others though. Individuals have been coming in the past few weeks… from all over… Kansas, North Carolina… everywhere in between. Those who have suffered this destruction work right beside others… not on their own homes, but of there fellow brothers and sisters… working unitedly to help them all get things back to normal… but that will not be for a long time! But what a blessing to have an organization untied in Worship, Through this individuals get spiritual, emotional, and physical support. Neighbors (20,000 homes have been destroyed) ask… who are these people. They are told, just unknown friends from other states wanting to help. They are in awe… no other group is coming in to provide such support. 100’s come to provide help. But there is so much more to do… keep these Brothers and Sisters in your mind and prayers… and if you can come to there aid as possible.

Wow, inspiring pics and really makes it hit home the way no news blurb can. It will be nice as the Draw close book put it when Jehovah takes control of the weather again.
