I May Not Sound Smart But You Understand

I don’t sound to smart
Unless I go and start

Writing down words
And using a thesaurus

I don’t resonate to smart
Unless I proceed and start

Saying things I know
But using different words

I don’t resonate with intelligence
Unless I proceed with eloquence

Being an insipid conformer
A linguistic high performer

I now resonate with intelligence
As I proceed with intelligence

But now it is herculean to ken
This polemic which veraciously is lucid

A witness to their falling arms
A lith in your throat forms

The air becomes frigid
Their skin fades to pale
