The Boys of North Dakota Friday

So I return from a week in North Dakota, and good times indeed were had! So its time for you to meet the boys from North Dakota (TBFND). These are some good guys with their heads on strait. Easy going, considerate, fun, and spiritually minded. I mean we are talking the essence of the type folks ya wanna hang around! And let me tell ya, it was never ending joking and laughing through the week... OK... there was a lot of pain too... in fact it continues, I don’t know why I cant feel my Left Leg anymore.
Anyways, who are these guys? Well First off ya have Jared... Or Iron Man Waltzer (Because He never gives up on an uphill... even with us all pushing) as we called him. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have met the rest of these guys. 5 years ago, we traveled to Devils Lake North Dakota to do Unassigned Territory. We stayed with Jared for 3 weeks then. So 2 weeks ago he IM me, and tells me of a bike trip... by ticket purchased... bags packed, the rest is history.
Then there is Jason, Jared’s Brother, who I must say is one non complaining type sole... riding a rigid Mountain bike for 60 miles, I am impressed by this mans skills! He spent 6 years at Bethel... and his spiritual side shone, as deep in the trail he pulled out his latest Watchtower to read.
Then Matt... the Man who loves his downhills, but well... that results in problems sometimes. A funny guy indeed who loves the off the wall conversation which you have grown to be common place here in the land of misconstrued. He's been pioneering the last couple of years... And despite heat stroke, near death experiences, he pressed on through the trip.
Dylan... I pity the man who down my boy Dylan. You maybe have seen him post on the site. He's been a regular for the last year. Never meeting until the last week... I must say Dylan has worked his way into Mr. Macintosh History by providing one of the most extraordinary performances in an attempt of being in the Macintosh Family. (Those confused, dont worry your day of Mr. Macintosh will come... hahahha).
And finally Mike. Mike is My Favorite Person In North Dakota. He should be everyone’s favorite person in North Dakota. For he was the one that saved all our lives. (OK, not Dylan he didn’t ride with us). As we pummeled our bodies on the trail, Mike waited at our check points, to make sure we weren't dead, and to give us our needed Cliff Bars (gagging sounds), Extra Strength Tylenol, and Water. With out him sitting around waiting on us for 4 days, there is no way we could have finished the trip.
So there ya have it TBFNK. Some great guys, and a good example for all of us. If you are ever really lost, go by and hang out with em. Or who knows maybe one day they'll even take off their Parkas and head to the south. Add your stories about the boys...

I was born in South Dakota. Does that count for anything today? And congrats ND Lads. If Jeremy says you are good folk, then you are good folk. I especially like the pic of Jason reading his Watchtower on the trail. If that wasn't staged (sorry, but you never know with Jeremy...I'm almost surprised a bear wasn't lurking behind the poor kid), then kudos to you. That seems like it would be a great time to take in some spiritual food, what with being out in nature and all.
Bah. I'm rambling.

haha I know good old jason and it sure wasn't staged.
Anywhoo, I can't believe I got my own little spot on misconstrued. How awesome is that? And while I don't wanna brag, trying to be a MacIntosh is no easy task when you try to recite your favorite Andy Griffith episodes and singing like a poor man's Italian tenor took some wind out of the old pipes. But I made it into the McIntosh family, whoo! And misconstrued! Yes!
Also, that picture of me and Mr. T brings back so many memories from my old A Team days.

Eh... don't worry too much about it, I highly doubt that there is a single decent picture of me in existence...
Especially so in your photo albums, since for the majority of the trip this last weekend I had that nasty patchy beard that I get when unshaven for some time...
... such is life...
