A shopping Cart A good thing to Own?

DSCF0124 (Small).JPG

Why not. For years I had dreamed of owning a shopping cart. Why? I'm not even sure... I think it stems back to the fun of rolling down hills in my wagon as a child. And then later in life finding the same fun of rolling down hills in shopping carts. But finding a good shopping cart good for the taking is sometimes hard to do. And don't even think about buying one... shopping carts are expensive! But I've found as you drive around Huntsville, there is always that one stray shopping cart, in an abandoned parking lot, out in the park, by the lake. And finally ... finally one day I stopped and picked one up.

So that has been about a year ago... so what usefulness have I found for the shopping cart? Well honestly very little... I did pick up grass in the lawn with it, until I upgraded to a lawn sweeper. And now its just a movable storage cart in the garage. But the true creative use of the shopping cart... that is yet to come.

I still dream of tricking out the shopping cart, with LEDs, custom paintjob etc... and then head to town. That day is yet coming too...

For now, I need to think of some creative uses of this ... what has become... "garage cluterer".

Chop off the metal frame and build a "shopping cart go cart"

Why do people pick up the cut grass on their lawns?

I can see the headlines now: "Local NASA Employee Retrofits Rocket Engine to Shopping Cart. Officials Still Estimating Extent of Damage to Community." :p

Jeremy said "tricking out", does anyone else find that hilarious? Next we'll having him doing the A-town stomp...

adyre adyre... tricking out a bike... is normal non ghetto terms... it goes actually way back into the english language...common expresion

sorry dont even know what the A-town stomp is... but do know...

But I did hike to an A frame once...

I've experimented on a stray cart before back in my high school days. It was more destructive than anything so if you want to blow one up, you know who to call.

i vote you turn it into a laundry hamper. that way you can wheel your dirty clothes to the laundry room and then clean ones into the living room for folding and then all clean and folded back into the bedroom. the small kid section could be the perfect unmentionables and sock compartment, all you have to do is pull up the flap where the kids legs hang out.

Cool idea....I guess I need one now too.
