Meteor Shower, Forget the Sleep!

It looks like it may be cloudy tonight (in Alabama), but the peak for the Perseid meteor shower will be tonight. So its worth checking the night sky before you head to bed. Peak should be early in the morning.
At the peak you can expect around 1 meteor a minute… which is really impressive if you’ve never seen such an event. This is a larger meteor shower than normal because a cloud of debris left by Swift-Tuttle back in the 1800’s will be passed through, more than likely…. Only one way to find out. Look to the night sky tonight.

That is when you can see them. Unfortunately we had a boatload of rain and perpetually cloudy skies last night in No-AL. (Maybe that will catch on and I can print t-shirts and hats and retire from my day job).
