Sincerity... thats all that matters

Tonight at the meeting in Utah, I heard the most sincere singing of all time at a meeting. So there is a kid, 7ish. Imagine a 7 year old speaking as loud as he can in a very monotone voice to you. Then imagine him singing like that at the top of his lungs.

This is what I experienced. Honestly I had a hard time making it through the songs, for such a strong desire to laugh. And through out the hall everyone just smiled, and all the little kids just looked back at him. Does this happen every meeting? I dont know, but wow what a unique singer.... that is sincerity.

Never heard of such a zealous kid singer. I do like it, though, when there's like one guy in the hall who's singing in his opra voice when everyone else is just singing in a discreet tone. Carthage just got an opra dude and since the hall's so small you can hear him everywhere. Pretty sweet.

Jonathon Wilson (3 1/2) has started singing at our cong., very cute!

I think that's awesome, because when I got old enough to read, I was that little kid singing in the loudest voice I could muster. Now of course, I sing pretty discreetly, but I do like hearing the occasional singing of the operatic sort. Glad Utah's proving to be a place of sincerity. Speaking of which, did you ever take back that song book you took?

Last year a friend of mine went to a meeting in Minnesota while visiting friends. A little boy about 3 or 4 was behind him singing "Gog is greeaaat, god is goood." He says you could feel his enthusiasm though. It's the thought that counts right? Haha. :)

Uh...please pardon the Typo above. I of course meant to type GOD not gog. Yowza...

Last Sunday, a few notes into "Jehovah is our Refuge" the music stopped. We all continued singing acappella......it gave me goosebumps!

hahaha...

in hville west a couple months ago... we never even got the music started, so Danny started eveyone singing the song with no music. Very impresive, we did the whole song, with no music.
