Otutu Uju (And alot more oohs) Kamalu Friday

uju.jpg

We finally got a picture of Uju, compare to see how accurate our drawing is (Yes and he is in his long flowing garment of manliness

Today is Uju Friday... And Uju Friday brings to end a false sense of security everyone has. The long held belief is that if I have no picture of you, then there will be No Friday. But as you see today, I am an aspiring (or is it perspiring?...) artist. And therefore with the magic of Paint was able to whip out this picture in no time. (And it looks just like him too eh?).

Anyways... Uju Kamaluo. I think I first noticed this Brother (and I say that in the fullest sense of the word)... At an assembly here in Hville where he was wearing his native African Garb (True he never lived in Africa, but his parents did and are from Nigeria... so it just gives Uju a good excuse to wear a dress... (or is it a muumuu no no thats Korean... Lets just Call it a Nigerian Long Flowing Garment of Manliness). Anyways he really stuck that day.

But Uju really cracks me up, an interesting perspective on the world. True he does call me cheap, and say I dont eat enough... but its all good. True he is one of the few people that calls me "Brother Myers" as if he doesn’t know who I am, or that I am years older being his elder...

And who will ever forget his statement "I'm 100% a ladies man" (Sure taken out of context, kinda... but this is misconstrued thoughts).

And well the biggest inside joke on Uju, well we wont go there... but Uju... you have no proof to help your dot com theory now.

But yeah, after years of Pain, Uju completes hes college education this week... and now is off to his admirable spiritual goals.

Anyways, add your stories about uju... or draw your own drawing and post it ... or send it to me! (well if you have a picture you can send it too...)

Comments

I have no Uju stories, but since we both had a Friday without a pic I can sympathize with him. Something tells me you look a lot cooler in real life than in Jerm's pic. He does his best to make a realistic rendering, but somehow falls pathetically short every time. Congrats on the graduation, and I hope everything gos well for you in your future endeavors. Keeping Jehovah first will always bring happiness.

no... no... that looks just like him... someone back me up here.

Uju Day!!! Hey this is great! Uju is great. And I love the respect, always calls me Sister Mason like I am his grandma or something but hey, its better than Sister Gonzalez (stupid Tremaine...just kidding, I love you too TremaineLY, yeah, thats right...). I have a Uju story. So one night after we saw Seabiscuit (shut up), we went to Wings. And so we are sitting at the table and Uju is like "Hey wanna hear this joke?" "Yes, Yes," we say. So Uju says "What do you tell a woman with two black eyes?" And so we think, and giggle and say "We dont know." And THEN Uju says "Nothing, you already told her twice!" Thats right ladies, the "ladies man" is called such because of the smacking hes laid down. Yeah...Okay he did say that but Uju wouldnt hurt a fly, well, maybe a fly. But hes a great guy. Congrats Uju!

the strange thing is he told me that joke to... the same day as the ladies man comment... hmmm odd he likes the joke so well...

I didnt laugh, which put him into explain why I should laugh mode...

I didnt laugh, which put him into try to explain more mode...

I didnt laugh, which led me to saying ALrightY... hmm laughing and saying what... then the conversation continues to one of his other misquotable quotes.

Looks like a great brother, although I really am suprised he choose a lime green stripe for his dress, and not forest green. lime green always seemed more from the hispanic culture just reaggravating the lost art of tiddeley winks which raises a question about the amount of plastic used in children games since the 60's which produced way to music our parents listened to which is odd because music would have seemed to change more back then thatn it dies now but not really if you wer from Africa our at leats you parents are which is why I would have gone with forest green.
