it can bring sunshine to the sad
it's natures best antidote
yet it cannot be bought for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away
what is it?

"A Poem For Creative Writing Thursday"
I sit as quiet as a mouse
Perched safe at the edge of my chair.
I hear a call throughout the house,
"Seth, what are you doing up there?"
"Writing a poem about me
And Creative Writing Thursday!"
"You stupid fool, why can't you see
Nobody will care what you say!"
"Well, what got you into this mood?"
I yelled as a careless retort.
Get down here fast and get me food!"
Surprisingly was the report.
"Get your own!" I yelled to my wife,
Who must not have liked what I said.
"Here comes the pain! Run for your life!
When I'm done you'll wish you were dead!"
So here I sit, after her lunch,
A beaten and pitiful man,
Typing away without a hunch
As to why I am what I am.....

I am soooo glad creative writing thursday is back! And just in time, I was about to be a rebel and post some writing anyway, glad you stopped me...I missed you tonight my dear cousin, where are you? So this poem is about shadows, well actually its not, not really. But I was walking up to the library in the dark yesteday and as I looked at my shadow(s), I was inspired (go figure). Okay enough chit chat, here goes...
shadows as I walk, remind me of you
of what we are, and how once we were through.
one in front, and one on the side
we needed both to surround us, our heads were up in the sky.
there's another on the side, another behind
like how i felt as tears fell from my eyes.
but fall with joy now, when i discover that you are more than a cherished friend.
and there's one shadow in the middle, thats you and me
surrounded like a spectacle for all to see.
surrounded with one another, with each thought that presses our minds
surrounded by an overwhelming feeling thats hard to describe.
it also mimics a flower, which spreads open its blooms
how i have always wished to also do so with wings to fly me to you.
alone i am walking, staring at the shadows
but you are still there, like sweet smelling air, you follow.
tell me you'll see me in your shadow tomorrow
take me up into your arms, if only with your gaze,
to wipe away my sorrows.
perhaps we can be each other's shadows today,
and never disappear like shadows will tomorrow,
perhaps we can be each other's shadow for today and forever,
until one day our shadows both darken, as we disappear together.

As usual I do everything late. Yeah, I know its Friday, but after an all nighter dedicated to taping a music video, I think I'll write something.
Stupidity blinded me once,
knocked on my door,
give me a cap, label me a dunce,
let me drink my juice from the floor.
If I were you, I'd kill me too,
chances are you've plotted twice,
to do me in with charleston chew,
and a plastic putty knife.
The sense we made is now complete,
the taste of life doesn't satisfy,
I used to label life as being sweet,
now I see it as a way to gratify,
My urge to be what I need to be,
the urge to I must fight,
for what it is that I want for me,
must never come to the light.
I've never been so afraid,
but I've never been so this,
Don't label me as brave,
Just don't leave my grave without a kiss.

"someone"....
genuine smile....it's not a social smile where the person is prompted to smile by a sense of obligation. It's the type of smile that is contagious. the kinda of smile that not only activates the muscles of the cheeks but also the muscles around the eyes. The true expression of happiness and pleasure.
