I want to change my answer. I did some research on it (I really don't feel like working today) and now believe it is no longer possible to die from it. Can you believe under Google I got 265,000 hits for brain freeze.

Okay, I am a woman and I am allowed to change my mind as many times as I want. This is really bothering me (Okay I really, really don't want to work today). A brain freeze occurs when something cold touches the roof of your mouth which irritates a nerve which swells up blood vessels in your head. So couldn't someone stroke out or something when getting a brain freeze?

How cold is the slurpie? If the slurpie was pulled out of a liquid nitrogen cooled tank and you ate it really quickly, you will most definately die from that, but if you drank a slurpie that was not untra-cooled then the brain freese will not kill you (something else might, as noted by "The Beau"

just my thoughts, but if you drank a liquid nitrogen cooled slurpie, first of all it would be more like a popsicle, second you'd probably get the bends first before the cold killed you.

Yes it can be deadly , the brain was created to operate at certain temperatures ( just like the rest of the body ), thats why when it is cold you put on a jacket. But now on thinking on it for a while i must pull a amber and change my mind this is like the myth of the drinking of soda and pop rocks , will you pop? no you will not. absolutley!!! Once I was driving along and I ran into a road block. I was working on my 5th beer so I had to get rid of it really quick so I downed it and boy was it cold. when I got the brain freeze It impaired my ability to drive so i ran over a cop and they began shooting. therefore yes you can die from a brain freeze.

OK... I agree that this is quiet obviously possible... as you have discoverd, the pain is from restriction of blood to the brain... does this sound dangerous... yes indeed! In fact I think I was near death this weekend with the 3 gallon slurpy... but that was just from sugar overload and had nothing to do with brain freeze... oh and adyre... if ya ever on your way to washington dc... its about 80 miles into Virginia on the right... the place is called koala.

That is a very interesting question...hmm I am going to have to go with depends! No not the diapers for adults but I think it varies from one situation to another.

For instance if you are operating a piece of heavy machinery...a riding lawn mower for instance...n the heat and you decide because of the heat so there you are with a 3 gallon slurpee and you chug chug chug, you go into a brain freeze and your foot hits the gas you then crash into a tree that falls on your head and you pass out. Your foot still on the gas...and well you get the picture!
