A weekend of Disconnect

Wow I just survived 3 days with no internet connection! It was difficult but I somehow pulled through. But I did realize an abnormal dependence on the WWW. For instance:

No connection through email - My phone tells me I'm getting email, but no way of knowing what is going on. I just get the title such as "Hurry, go to this site now for a free car". So now I continue to drive the ol Malibu.

I wake up for service need a weather report - I head in to check the weather quickly on weather.com, but alas no internet. I ended loosing 3 toes to frost bite Saturday.

Need an address to get somewhere - I head to check whowhere.com, but once again no connection. I ended up lost, but did enjoy a nice visit to this place called Minot, ND.

In search of a coupon - Go to google for a coupon, you know no connect. I end up paying REGULAR price for something. The world gasp!

And the list goes on... But I have recovered. I am connected again. I think the problem is someone didnt pay their taxes... oh yeah me... gotta go do that now.

The internet. . .more addictive than cocaine? Story at ten!

The computer in my room records again! Album back on! No need to smash things!

Smashing things and computers are often connected I've found.

They absolutely are. I know first hand... but dont tell the parents that.

I was in the middle of typing up a history paper last weekend, and my computer broke down. Then, I fixed it, retyped the history paper, and suddenly noticed that the printer stopped working. Then, the internet would not work. Also, because I have an iMac, I had NO FLOPPY DISK DRIVE!!!!! Reminds me of the Foxtrot comic during Halloween:
"What are you supposed to be?"
"I'm a iMac!"
"What's so scary about that?"
"Well, that's simple! NO FLOPPY DISK DRIVE! NO FLOPPY DISK DRIVE!"
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
