Its Sports Talk Here on misconstrued...

IMG_4927 (Small).JPG

Sports talk? What... Never such a venture here on Misconstrued. (And this will be apparent soon).

Big cities have there benefits... namely a plethora of things to do. Last night we headed down and saw the Houston Rockets

(you would think they are called the Houston Rockets because of NASA, but they were the rockets even when they were in San Diego, so it really has nothing to do with space n stuff)

vs. The Lakers

(What is a laker? This troubled me all last night during the game... (no time to research that for me... if someone else knows please enlighten us (or if you can make up something good))

Yes it was the Battle of You Ying Ling and The Shack.... Now Personally this sounds more like a battle of restaurants, maybe a Chinese restaurant vs. a southern food establishment. Who would win. Well with that analogy... its apparent, that the Chinese Restaurant would win (do to the more national prevalence of "Chinese" food). And this theory did prove true.

But one of the greatest inspirations of the night was when I decided to become a professional fouler! They could put me in to take out key players... the key is doing it "on accident" I plan to write a couple of NBA teams with this idea, look for me on the courts soon.

The last cool thing of the night was we got free tshirts! But I dont have one, in the excitement I ended throwing mine over the banister.... oops. So... Yaoo Ching Yao Ching... (that means go team in chineese (they taught us that (or whatever the correct expression was) at the game, I never got it right, but the oriental couple in front of us found it humorous...and thats what counts). So now i'm off to get my free big mac since Houston got 100 points... who said basketball didnt matter.... hey it’s a great way to get everyone to route for you (wait I don’t really like big macs…doh!)

"Scoring a record 592 fouls in the first year of his career alone, Jeremy Myers was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame today, at age 102. The centurion walked in ubder his own strength, pushing over 12 people in the process, and breaking the hip of the Hall of Fame's director who was shoulder checked in the process of presenting him with his award.

Myers will begin his 72nd season with The Clippers next week..."

So what was the score? Who won. Did Yao Ming out play Shaq? Anyways, a Laker. I'm not sure what that is. But I do know that they named themselves that because the original team was in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes or 1000 lakes or whatever their state moto is. The team later moved to L.A. The NBA is full of team like that. Like what does Jazz have to do with Utah. Nothing. That team was originally in New Orleans, where the Hornets now call home who were originally from Charlotte? Yes, it all get very confusing.

the score was 102-87...yes, as a houstonian i was also there to take in the excitement. i must admit though...it wouldn't have been as fun without jerm there.

oh...and the chinese phrase is cha yo (i'm sure that's not how u spell it but that's how it sounds). anyway, for my first basketball game it was great...and the rockets actually won!

well now i'm off to get my big mac!

So the rockets rocked it? Coolness. And who doesn't like Big Macs? Oh yeah, people who's taste buds function properly. The only place where salad dressing is a viable burger topping, McDonald's. I'm hating it.

i definitely agree. after not so much deliberation i decided against the big mac. mcdonald's food is quite gross...and i don't think i've ever even tried a big mac.

they should get a new sponsor and give out whoppers or chick-fil-a sandwiches...something people actually like.

Indeed, Sarah B (hey that rhymed. Wonder if I do that next time. Whoa!) Oddly enough, McDonald's makes a Whopper, and its called, a Big and Tasty. That's right, the only burger they have that's big and tasty is a ripoff from Burger King.

Yao Ming is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo CUTE!!! GO ROCKETS!!!!!!

By the by, the Rockets were named after actual rockets - San Diego was a testing site for the pre-NASA space organization.
*Yet another useless fact from keats*
