Those Things We Dont Talk About

I have a long list of books I plan to write one day. (Will this really happen?... Who knows.) One thing is for sure, the content and knowledge needed for these books grows every day. One of these Books All the Stuff Everyone Knows But Never Talks About grew in its content this weekend.

So what is it we all know but never talk about really? Well smells. In all its variety of forms smells (often, not always) are not discussed except with a small circle of friends. Specifically people smells. Now of course this instantly brings to mind bad smells. But this is not always true. We all have a distinctive smell. One which reminds people that you are around. I have a smell you have a smell. Some people have a more distinctive smell... It may be from the soap they use/the detergent they use/an air odorizer in the house/pets at home/always used perfume/and then on top of all that you get well... them. Their smell. These combinations create a smell which can be described only by well... there last name. Thats the smell of Brazelton, Cox, Myers. And in special cases, thats the smell of (Enter First Name here). True this is not as distinctive and known for all people. So is your name associated with a smell? Ask your closest friends... they know... But they'll never really talk about it unless you ask.

Comments

I asked. They all looked down and changed the subject. . .what does that mean?

You're going to write an entire book on that? Kudos man. Well I have this dream deep down to make a web comic. Maybe someday we'll see wether or not we actually do these things.

All the Days have a gain smell!
no one will tell me what i smell like...guess i don't have a smell :(

That's crazy talk. Of course you do.

I smell like a coconut....this is what I hear

they just say i am a nut... this is what I hear

Nope, Jerm you're definitely overworked with a hint of Irish Spring.

the myers' always smell like their house to me. and their house always smells like them. and so do their clothes.

Hmm Megan I think that describes people in general... You smell where you live and you live where you smell... wait... what?

I distincly remember having a conversation about peoples smells with alex. i think the place where people emit the most smell is from their "elbow pit". so if you really want to be closer to someone... i say you should ask to smell thier arm. the shoulder is a good place to smell too, someone might get creeped out if you smell them there though. i sneak a sniff when i'm hugging.

***takes mental note***
apply cologne to "elbow pit"

What about the knee pit?!?!?
