An Anniversary...
Yesterday was the 30th Anniversary of Skylab. The 8 living original astronauts who manned Skylab in its three missions visited MSFC yesterday. It was quiet interesting to hear.
One astronaut described how terrifying it is to be in a rocket launching, and how you think you need to abort when you've never been through it before... (that is why experienced astronauts control the abort button).
On the way out I spoke to one of the astronauts... his words to me... "You wasn't even born when we went to space" Very true! Then he told me to "get them to mars..."
So anyways happy anniversary skylab (the original space station).
