I just went to Dairy Queen and got ripped off!
Well I just went to get my free icecream, that dairy queen promised! But no no free Icecream they said! I asked why. I was told that to celebrate 100 years of the icecream cone i would have to pay him for the icecream, and then he would give it to me free! OK, I know I may look stupid... but I dont think i look taht stupid! It was even on the News, and when you read the press release it says nothing except that I was going to get to enjoy free icecream (doesnt depend on store). I would even have gladely given to the needy children for the miracle network. But when we visited, the only miracle was any giving going on. It was quiet sad, a family walked in, kids all happy (yay free icecream!) but how sad when the family of (man alot of kids) was turned away. Poor kids.... they have all suffered due to the evil ways of dairy queen. I urge you to write Dairy Queen and let them know about how they made the kids suffer on the aniversary of icecream cones. ( The store in question is in MADISON AL) I think they should give free icecream to eveyrone 12 and under and let them enjoy their free icecream.
Dairy queen they now have found how easy it is to take candy from a baby!
THEY EVEN TOOK THE BABY!
Make the insanity stop...get free icecream for our kids... and help out childrens network while your at it!

The website did say "at participating locations" which I guess means not all Dairy Queen locations have to participate. And I guess each Dairy Queen is independently owned and operated so the company can't make any particular Dairy Queen give free ice cream. I think your letter writing efforts my be fruitless. But this could be that start of the contest of who can get the best response from a company.

But you see tre...thats on the website it says that... on the news it didnt say that... and even if you take the time to read their public release letter it doesnt say that it depends on the store.... so well... they have left a hole open...

Well, in the grand tradition of Javann, I forgot all about the free icecream till last night when Jerm started talking about doing drivebys on the local stores. I'm all down for grabbing the Tech 9 and rolling out for my paper. . .uh icecream, when he says, they'd give me free icecream if I gave them a dollar. I didn't bother to tell him that wasn't free. Oh well, maybe on the 200th anniversary we'll get free, truly free, icecream. Probably not though.

But on the 200th anniversary of the icecream cone it will be the 100th anniversary of the icecob cone... invented last night
you get two icecream cones... combined the icecream and hold like corn on the cob...
its great! Especially in 100 years when they will be free...for a dollar.
