Try Try Again
Well in the long tradition of get out of the house and see whats around you. (OK I just introduced the thought last week). But this week we talk about seeing whats just around you. Of course this may involve 1150 miles worth of driving in a weekend, but its all good.
A quick trip to the South Carolina Beach, can always prove exciting. Another joy of life is learning new talents. This weekend for myself was learning to skim board. As you see it can be painful at first (sand is about as hard as a rock, well actually i guess it is pretty much a bunch of micro rocks) (and sand can be as rough as sandpaper, well actually i guess it is pretty much what sand paper is made of). But after an hour of pain, you finally get it, you glide for 10-15 feet and you think you're cool. Then you go for 25-30 feet, and thats when you really hurt yourself.
But in a further adventure, on the way home, we did a little hiking in the mountains of Georgia, and stumbled upon the beginning of the Appalachian trail. (OK I knew it was there). And also went to Amicalola Fall State Park .
So get out see your world, you dont have to go far to find something new! (And always bring your first aid kit...)

Skim boarding! Sounds cool. I remember seeing some guys do that on TV. It looked like it hurt. But we should appreciate that you got hurt. Its pioneers like you Jeremy that make us want to get up get out and go do something. Without you to endure the physical anguish of doing something agonizing, and then coming back telling us how cool it all was, we'd never have the initiative to get out of the house. You just keep doing your thing man, you just keep doing your thing. <-- - - running gag for those who don't know

Yah, I feel your pain, it does hurt when you fall, but that 10-15 seconds of gliding makes it all worth it.

Well, his wound weren't a complete loss. In fact we all wished he would have bleed more so that he could make it look like real human blood on the man whose head he crushed on the beach. His man still did get a lot of looks, even without the blood.

W-E-L-L! When I saw those little bloody shins, I immediately thought, "Ok, he took the challenge, and he tried." Was it a risk? Who knows.
Any way---- Hebrew 9:22 states: " Yes, nearly all things are cleansed with blood according to the Law, and unless blood is poured out no forgiveness takes place." In that case you are forgiven so whats next on the risk list?

The pics of this trip are great! I must say that the bloody pics don't do the torn flesh justice.
It was quite an amazing display of surfing savy, watching the 6 ft. frame twist and contort 5 ft. in the air, into positions that are not normal for a human to bend. And the landings?...............WWWHHHOOOAAAAAAA! I dont think todays most experienced Gymnast could plant the landings that this Alabama misfit did. CCCHHHEEEERRRRRRRSSS!
