So its friday, and the start of a new month. That means the end of a quiz....
1. milkdud105 (482 points, 3 wins)
2. alias (465 points, 0 wins)
3. Danny(GA) (453 points, 5 wins)
4. Tre (AL) (450 points, 3 wins)
5. Jeremy (AL) (438 points, 0 wins)
6. UNKNOWN (401 points, 1 wins)
7. red headed clown (AL) (383 points, 0 wins)
8. Jerm (AL) (373 points, 3 wins)
9. Kathryn (272 points, 0 wins)
10. Buff (AL) (259 points, 0 wins)
So the controversy continues should people google on this quiz? Trem.... er uh... Those who do it will protest its strategy... those who don't think "Hey anyone can google". I'm tempted to google just to make the point hey anyone can goole... (and I could beat you at your own game...) But once again we don't even know who these people are playing?
OK... enough of that. On another note. I have a talk this Sunday in the East Hall. They announced this week that I'm going to bring the house down! (Of course they are burning down the hall right after my talk... then building a new hall... no really they are).
OK, so join in on the quiz revolution.... revolution? I don't know its early, i'm in search of words.
Posted by itzjerm at April 1, 2005 07:13 AMIs that why tremaine always does so well but it takes him so long?
Posted by: Autumn at April 1, 2005 09:47 AMyes indeed... down with the googler...
repent ye sinner...
Posted by: itzjerm at April 1, 2005 09:50 AMBut if your notice, it takes him like 900 seconds and gets 8 or 9 right, but doesn't place very high. Someone who gets 6 right in less time would win!!!
I say we stop this Googling madness!!!!!!!!!
What?! I protest! We, as Bible students, don't know every answer that we may encounter in the field. But that doesn't mean we just guess. I was trained to look up the right answer. We are all trained to do so. To not look up the right answer would be contrary to our nature. I implore you not to fight your inclination to google (I use Jeeves though).
Posted by: Tre at April 1, 2005 09:57 AMSo you consider Ask Jeeves like the Reasoning Book of Misconstrued Trivia... Oh I see now.... No, Tremaine it's still cheating.
Posted by: Ana at April 1, 2005 10:00 AMUm... I can see tremaine on jeopardy....
Alex: Montgomery is this state's capital.
Tre: What is...
OH NO MY INTERNET CONNECTION WENT DOWN>>>> I DONT KNOW!!!!!!!!!
noise: beep beep beep
Alex: Sorry that is incorrect
Other contestant: What is Alabama.
Tre: Ah I knew that... I need more time.. Jeeves doesnt have time.
Alex: Jeeves?
And also... if you want to drop to the level of who wants to be a millionair... they only get one phone a friend (If your friend is Jeeves).
Well, has it ever struck you that maybe I'm just smart but at the same time a very slow reader and that's why it takes so long? Disregard what I said earlier about Jeeves. I'm also a habitual liar and I was be dishonest at that moment. But now I tell the truth when I say it takes me very long to read the questions.
Posted by: Tre at April 1, 2005 10:14 AMwe should have two seperate quizes: one for the cheaters (tre!) and one for those who take the quiz based on the knowledge that is already in their heads prior to clicking the "play now" button
Posted by: Autumn at April 1, 2005 10:31 AMOK.. i'm a horrilby slow reader... i always end up in the 135 time frame...
and if u are a liar... hmmm i dont know what to believe...
I think ur best bet is to say you are a good guesser... but you have to role dice, best out of 10 (then do a statistical plot of results) on each question to decide which to pick.
Posted by: itzjerm at April 1, 2005 10:32 AMI'd like to point out that I average 18.5 points a game. And I don't google. If you go through a quiz in at less than 60 seconds, you will destroy any googler even if you're three questions off of him. So my plan is to be gone in sixty seconds.
Posted by: I'm Not Talking To You. . .So Stop Reading My Comments at April 1, 2005 10:53 AMman i just cant read that quick... and then when i try to read quick.. i get even slower... if i try to focus it gets worse... stupid ADD.
Posted by: itzjerm at April 1, 2005 11:11 AMduh tre... its not hard to figure out...
The point is ... thats the lame way to do it.
Posted by: itzjerm at April 1, 2005 07:51 PMJerm, Wedensday night at our meeting, my Dad did actually say that during the announcements, he said that you said you were going to bring down the house with your talk so we wouldn't have to burn it. So you better do an awful good job because that's what the East cong. is expecting:)
Posted by: Daphy at April 2, 2005 01:21 PMQQR! (Quiz Quiz Revolution)
I mean, we all listen to music when we take the quiz, its not much of a stretch boys and girls. So don't just quiz, Quiz Quiz Revolution!
Posted by: QQR (Quiz Quiz Revolution) at April 2, 2005 11:24 PMHehe Brother Goode really did say that, it was great. Good job on the talk today Jeremy, I was going to tell you myself but there was...about a billion people I needed to talk to, as well. But hey, thanks for bringing the house down! Or trying to!
