Well it may have been a while since you have heard anything from Bouybee Uybee, (Pronounced Bob Ub, for the new comers) and probably you are happy about this whole matter. But it seems the critics have picked up Bouybee's latest album, and what they are saying is quiet shocking... or then again maybe it isn't. The review over at JMC site tells it all...
Bouybee Uybee brings in back up support of Juice Mouse Zero on this latest outing. Songs so catchy, you'll hate them... but still sing them... its like a cup of coffee for a caffeine attic.
Today is a good day for the music world though. The CD is now being released beyond its original distribution of 4 disc.
So jump on the band wagon and see what reviewers are talking about:
"Its like Wesley Willis has gone folk"
-Canadian Jet
"I can't get those songs out of my head"
-Former Hair band Musician
"Yeah you go ahead and call that music, I'm going to learn to play guitar"
-ADGI
But Now you can own the incredible album!
Enjoy....
Posted by itzjerm at March 14, 2005 09:43 AMIt's about time this got a proper release. Gold, man. Gold. Now let us tour.
Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at March 14, 2005 12:16 PMFirst for the alnum: I've quite literally been waiting for this album to come out. I'm going to do what I can to buy one. JMC kicks, too, so it's sure to be a pleaser. Have you put any complimentary MP3's up for us to listen too? You know, a little teaser? I think that would be great!
Second: This is meant innocently, no trash talk! Let's try to comment on the album here! We've got a game going on up here March 26th at 1:30 CST. This is the official challenge. This time we'll have all our players there. We aren't starting anything, we want a good, clean game with no trash talking. But if you want, you can come up here this time. We'll have the same 5 players that went down there and more... It'll be a good, clean game where everyone gets along.
Oh yeah, I was serious about the MP3 Jerm - we need to listen to something!
Seth, I've got a new song I really want you to hear. Did you ever get that e mail I sent to your gmail account? I sent a URL along with it to a folder on my site with a couple new songs on it. If you got that URL let me know and I'll put this new song in it, too. I'm seriously very insterested in input on this one.
Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at March 14, 2005 12:30 PMI got it, read it and the wife erased it. Send it to me again and I'll tell my wife to be sure not to delete it so I can listen - i was so ticked at that! But send it nd I'll listen to it right then and reply. Can't wait to hear it dude!
Posted by: keats at March 14, 2005 12:34 PMi like kafka.
Posted by: mallory at March 14, 2005 12:57 PMWell Seth if you would read your e-mail Allison wouldn't have to look at yours and clean it out.
Not even going to say anything about the album Jerm becuase you know my opinion of your type of music (Same as your movies). And Seth just because we are going to be living in the same town next weekend doesn't mean you will get me to like it either!
Posted by: Amber at March 14, 2005 01:03 PMUm, Jon... Haven't I taught you to write better reviews? I was thinking of using you to review albums if my plot to convince my wife to allow me to do my site again works, but I'm seriously reconsidering that after seeing the review... and yeah, kafka is pretty cool... maybe I should have clicked on the link before saying we needed some stuff to listen to...
Posted by: keats at March 14, 2005 01:03 PMEverytime I look at my email it's emptied by my wife. And I won't get you to like what: the music or the town?
Posted by: keats at March 14, 2005 01:05 PMWhat's so bad about the review? Whatever dude. I'm proud of that review. Loser. Oh and check your gmail... right... NOW.
Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at March 14, 2005 01:29 PMThe music. Wouldn't be moving there if I didn't like the town. And you call yourself the smart one, ha.
She has to empty it because she knows you don't look at it. You said so yourself that I have to e-mail you at work becuase you never look at yours at home.
Oh, forgot to tell you that the doc said Paris is teething already.
Posted by: Amber at March 14, 2005 04:07 PMI don't know how much more of this football talk I can take
Posted by: Autumn at March 14, 2005 05:26 PMThis bands sucks. And so does Jimmy Eat World. If you wanna listen to a good band "Ruby Kieler" and "Rooney" are good.
Posted by: lola at March 14, 2005 06:22 PMhahhahaha... well, jon's review was especially good i thought--honest and to the point. at least bouybee's got decent accompaniment and that the songs aren't that long ;) keeps things interesting, and you don't get distracted as easily ;)
Posted by: kat at March 14, 2005 07:03 PMThanks Kat. You really GET it. Seth just has bad taste in reviews is all.
Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at March 14, 2005 09:18 PMI couldnt even make it through the first song on the CD. It started out good, mellow guitar with a semi soothing voice singing its little heart out, and then a slight pause induces this shrill and almost mind numbing voice into you desprate ears. I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS CD TO EVERYBODY......who wants there perception of music to take a turn for the worst:)
Posted by: scotty wotty too hotty at March 15, 2005 07:17 AMI have bad taste in reviews, but you want me to review your music... hmmm...
Posted by: keats at March 15, 2005 12:10 PMUh. . .Bouybee is a visionary into the future of rock. That ADGI is just jealously being a loser.
Posted by: I'm Not Talking To You. . .So Stop Reading My Comments at March 15, 2005 04:23 PMI be all about the masochism, Seth.
