So I was sitting in bed last night listening to music, and I got up to write this.

I fell into hell when I came out my shell
had heart from the start but we both fell apart.
I'm down when the sound of your voice is around.
Its sad, may be bad, I don't miss what we had.
It hurt some at first but things could be worse.
We're through, look at you and I know what to do.
I run to no one and I stare at the sun,
My mind was so blind you were all I could find.
It shows we both know exactly where it is we go.
Nowhere, do you care if I'm not going there?
YOu cried, this thing died but did you even try?
To make less mistakes or give and not take.
Today is my day to tell you go away.

Strangely hols to a specific rhyme pattern, strange because I normally don't do that on accident. So there ya go.

The trivia is great. I like it a lot.
The trivia is fun. I hope it doesn't stop.
The topics are varied, some are tough.
When you get a hard topic your score can be rough.
You should read many books. Stack and stacks.
Let have some trivia about some blacks.

Okay, that poem was very crappy. But for real, let’s have some black history trivia. We already had the opposite in Canadian trivia. And we only really get one month of this stuff (ironically the shortest month). And let’s have some affirmative action scoring. All blacks get 10 extra points added to their scores everyday because we were oppressed and what not. And Asians have to subtract points because they are just really smart. I guess that defeats the purpose for me. Forget subtracting. And I want reparations. I'm rich...uh...man!

So, I was wondering, Judy or Lea or any other Canadian. Does Canada have any black history sort of occasion to promote black Canadians and their achievements? I'm sure not a whole month since there aren't too many blacks up that way. But maybe every year they have a black history hour or something. Any famous black hockey players? I know there are some in the NHL. But it can be tough. It is a sport with a bunch of white people with masks and sticks. Not really endearing to the black person. We take to bowling.

Roses are red violets are blue I am A big fan of milk and you should be too.

Posted by: zach at February 3, 2005 06:38 PM

I'm pretty sure Canadians do have a black history month, cause I always hear something about it every year, but like you said there really isn't much black history in Canada. Nova Scotia has a lot of blacks there because that is where most of the slaves went for freedom. And there are some black Canadian hockey players such as
Anthony Carter, George Laraque, and Jerome Aginla(he is half white though)

Oh and don't listen to what I just wrote about Anthony Carter, wrong person, wrong sport, but the names do sound the same. Its "Anson Carter."

I just got the same error Buff. So does this mean that yet again, the Trivia System has decided to mess us up? Is our time running? Do we get the almighty 0?

Lovely

All part of the harsh game of trivia.

Some bull if you ask me

Posted by: Buff at February 3, 2005 10:32 PM

Just tried again, and no dice. I agree...bull it is. And where is Jerm??? FIX THIS THING!!! :)

Is there no way to add our scores later or postdate once it comes back online so that we don't get shafted out of a day?

Jerm you owe me a day for the Trivia. I dropped to 13th because I couldn't get it to work yesterday.

Posted by: Buff at February 4, 2005 10:19 AM

Well the trivia site isn't his; it's just a site that he uses to host his trivia game, so as far as I know he's got no control over the coding of the pages. That's the responsibility of funtrivia.com, so they're the ones who should be the targets of your scorn.

Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at February 4, 2005 10:35 AM

Not to mention all of you will get owned by me anyway. Gosh!

Posted by: What, You're Expecting My Name Here? at February 4, 2005 10:50 AM

You forgot Grant Fuhr... he was a great goalie. And even though Jerome is half white, he cherishes his Yoruban heritage, so that speaks for something. Not too many other black players, though...

Posted by: keats at February 4, 2005 11:23 AM

Not that it matters since the stupid NHL can't agree on anything. "Love of money" is the problem. Both the owners and the players. But enough about hockey. Let's talk football. Super Bowl Weekend. I don't really have to ask who you think will win. If you have half a brain, you already know that Belechik is a genius and if you give him two weeks to prepare for a game he will mop the floor with you. Tom Brady has never lost. But they are only 6-6.5 point favorites. I honestly think it will be a good game in favor of the Pats but who would you like to see win? I'm pulling for Philly since they are the underdog and since my Steelers aren't in it.

Posted by: Tre at February 4, 2005 11:51 AM

I'm pulling for the Eagles, because Belichick has already won like four superbowls. What about Andy Reid? He's been to the NFC championship game and every time he's lost. And now he's finally gotten the NFC championship, he's got a great team and he deserves a ring. The Pat's will be back next year, and Philly probably won't because of a particular blight which has attached itself.

Posted by: What, You're Expecting My Name Here? at February 4, 2005 12:11 PM

The Pats. I'd like to see Philly win it, but don't see them beating Brady, Dillon and the D. I think Their D will chew Philly's O to bits - especially with TO at 80%.
