So We Returned...

What Remains of a Home Next to the One we Worked on...

Well Everyone worked really hard this weekend. Over 40 homes were repaired. And no one fell. Both good things. Still many homes left to fix in Florida. Believe it or not I forgot my camera, so I have nothing to show... But I know many of you went, so if you have any pictures... send them to me.

The brother who owned the house we worked on stated at the meeting for the roofing work that it really was rocket science to put on his roof... after they said it doesnt take a rocket scientist to put on a roof.

You can see the pictures I took with my phone on the Moblog.

Oh and on a further note... yesterday was haloween... so go get your cheap candy today in the stores!

Hey Jeremy , WoW - thanks for the info ! I heard about the meeting with the Ministerial Servants and Elders on helping during the weekends and all the help they still need. Keep up the good work, Jehovah will bless everyone's efforts for sure.

Sup Jerm. Just got back from the Fort Walton Area with our crew. It was really a great witness for the people in the area. One brother from our crew was in a store buying ice and related to the manager why he needed so much ice. The Little Debbie man overheard and said "U guys are gonna need some energy then", and he donated boxes of little debbie cakes. Our crew tore off the old shingles and reroofed 10 houses from Thursday mornin till Sunday morning at 1130. But like u said plenty of more work to be done.

Thanks so much to all the brothers and sisters helping with didaster relief. My house happened to be the one Jeromey was working on. Considering all the cheritable donations that people make to the red cross and other organizations, my family has yet to see a penny. That's pretty messed up. If it weren't for all the work and effort and love of the brothers, we would probably, well, be like everyone else (misurable, depressed and homeless). but now that our roof is fixed we can point and laugh and say,"Hey, your roof is still leakey!!" But really, thanks everyone. May jehovah bless you and all your thoughts, no matter how misconstrued they are.
