A change...

can.JPG

Well after 6 weeks of not living in my home, I have returned, and I must say I am glad to be home. With Le Jud returning to the great north, and also a celebration of me actually keeping the site up and going again, today is a photography special day.

The photo section of the site, has been updated with pictures from Canada, particularly British Columbia, pictures I took a couple of years ago. So enjoy the pictures, learn what canada is like, and plan your own trip! And just in case you plan that trip, don't forget this guide which will help you understand the Canadian Culture. Very American/strangely European. But a beautiful country (check out the article on Prince Edward Island, the garden jewel of candada (although victoria will give it a run for its money).

Anyway, enjoy the pictures, and to help you in your quest for the perfect picture enjoy the following!

yay canada! The pictures are awesome, I thought they looked familiar. Listen though, no more saying good things about Victoria....we're trying to get the people in Vancouver.

Canada...I don't know about living there...but its a nice place to visit. Ive been across southern BC (very pretty) from Creston to Vancouver on road trip awhile ago. Went to Toronto and across Ontario on another road trip (Toronto was an incredible city, but they did not play "take me out to the ball game" during the 7th inning stretch of the Blue Jays game, and it almost made me want to boycott the country forever).
But, then Kim and I went to Montreal for our honeymoon last year. It was totally different from the other parts of Canada (Which is just like the US, but with a great love of hockey, and the word Eh?). It had Lots of cool old buildings, incredible food, and actually nice people (despite the rumors that they think all Americans are stupid, French canadians were pretty friendly). You do get a complex there though, cause everybody can speak at least French and English, and I still have trouble getting out coherent phrases in just English. Canada, not as cool as Alabama, but still a nice place to visit (or live I guess for some).

hmm... honestly i took no pictures of vancouver, didnt do much for me.. but victoria.. wow its a beautiful city, i need to find the pictures of the capitol.

oh wait you said not to do that... hmm

well it does cost alot of money to ride the ferry from vancouver to victoria... so just save money, and go eat 350 flavors of icecream in vancouver (including durian, basil vingerette, corn, chunky durian, kimshi, and jalapno cherry... and so many more).

Brown Gravy Ice Cream coming soon (thanks to a call from us making the request last month).

I love going up to visit canada. It is so pretty there. We used to go up there like every year and go to a differant part. Val'dor was really cool w/ all the ice and everything. We even have on video my mom singing "the hills are alive" on a glacier And my dad being chased by a moose. What part do you guys (judi and lea) live in?

Loved the pictures. Absolutely Gorgeous...breathtaking. Ahhh...(long, heavy sigh)Canada. I was in Canada once in my life, it lasted maybe 5-10 minutes. FOR REAL! In our travels out West, my dad decided to take my mom across the border. Why? Some 20 years earlier, she canceled a week long trip with her girlfriends to go to Candada, because he was coming out of state to see her. She never let him live it down. Anyway,we go through customs and the woman behind the window asks Dad, What is your purpose here? Dad tells her the truth: "You see that sign over there...the one that says Welcome to Alberta, Canada? My purpose is to go to it and take a picture, turn around and leave." The questions still continued:"Are you carrying any firearms etc...?" Dad's brilliant response: "If I did, do you honestly think that I would tell you?" If looks could kill, he would have dropped. We finally get through that, take the picture and leave. Dad then tells my mother:"Never let it be said that you never got to go to Canada because of me." We were all laughing hysterically. I certainly hope that if I ever get to go to Canada, it will last longer than that.

I got to go see Niagara Falls. It was fun. And expensive. 15% tax, plus 5% tourist tax. And the there was the guy who mugged me with a bottle of maple syrup. It was tragic. And sticky. Well mainly just sticky. And some sweet. Yeah, sticky sweet.

Canada is a pretty great country. Seen Radiohead there, hung out with many a friend, and met a lot of good people!

Why can't I formulate something about Canada that doesn't come off sounding trite...
