Alex Friday... In Stereo...

genBoneyMalone (Small).jpeg

Well here we go a first... a duo day for one person. Alex who has found a day on TKF, as well as Misconstruedthoughts... with the beauty of back dating you can see though that we were first. (I do the same thing with my milk). Anyways....

Yes Alex, the AL of the Lex... anyway. All you have to do is meet Alex once, see his quirky grin, and know there is something non typical going on behind those glasses. And here lies what makes an interesting person? correct? I think so.

You may remember Alex from Sunday Daily Text at the convention.... (he was the one who fell down the stairs right behind the stage, for which they had to stop the convention) (OK, I'm only assuming this, I was busy working the sound, so I'm just assuming this took place). But anyway, yeah Alex, a purveyor of good music, and a progeny of someone who collects butterflies. Oh and he's quiet the cinematographer... I've seen some great work of his involving ants! What else do you need?

OK, I agree we all need a trip to Aruba.

Leave your stories... and read others in the late post on the TKF.

Also I was just contacted by Alex, and he has setup a wonderful deal for all of us. Free Slurpies at 7/11 on the llth of July. So go buy and Say Alex sent you, its a great deal! Thanks Alex for using your connections. (BTW if you are confused at the picture above, Alex was suffering a terrible brain freeze).

Alex is such a giving soul, and you see why we have two seperate sites devoted to him? There was just too much to remember for TKF! Thanks for bringing out the assembly part, Jerm.

Here's to you, fellow man of high hair!

Deja vu.

Alex is cool. There was this one time we were hunting some weasles and we had set up this bad weasle trap but it backfired and killed Alex. Man he felt that the next day. Dying and all. Seriously I have no Alex stories. I mean, except that one. I would spend a lot of time making one up like I do sometimes but he is not a hot girl and if you guys couldn't tell, the only time I make up long winded stories is when the subject is super hot. Not that Alex isn't a really good looking man. I mean, he's ruggedly handsome is what he is. Hes got the sideburns and everything. But he evens out his ruggedness with the glasses, making him look gentle and nice at the same time. How you achieve such an amazing balance I shall never know, Alex. I can't do it. I'd like to balance my looks out to be... maybe Good Looking with Smart Looking as Alex has done, but I can only seem to tip the scales toward the Hideous Skank side which I find disturbing. Thankfully I have my winning and not annoying at all personality. But, yet again, Alex beats me to it by not only being really hot but being pleasant to be around. And he even has a job. Alex is everything I want to be. He is the unreachable apex of awesome that I strive for but know I will never reach. Alex makes me want to die.

And yeah that ants video was pretty saucy. I remember that.

I don't have a story about alex, as much as a question about him. Did he and D.A. always look alike? Or did they just grow to resemble like an owner and his dog? This is not an insult, rather a valid question. (To stay on their good sides, I will let them fight it out as to which is the owner and which is the pet ;)

Well Emily, that is why I refered to him as my doppleganger. When we first met I didn't really see too much of a resemblence, but after the twenteenth time that someone asked us, "Are you brothers?" or in the deeper south, "Is you'ins kin?", then I started to wonder.

I don't know which of us came first. Lets compare though:

I am older
He has always been skinny (I haven't)
He has had close to the same hair for a longer while than I have.

So, it's age vs. appearance. We can throw music into the equation if you would like (he is more recently getting into a lot of good stuff), but I do have to worry because he just sent me the lyrics to a new Tim McGraw song.

It's not that bad, actually...sort of reminds me of Spoon.

Riiiiiiight.

spoon ... country music... never make those things come together again

this is as bad as the time you were talking boy bands on TKF.

Well what can I say about Alex; I have known him since the womb. And there are plenty of pictures floating around there of Alex and I in the bathtub together as toddlers. There is also a picture of the two of us on a rocking horse. I am crying because he had just smashed my face into the horse. I threw my very first party with Alex. We were 5 and alex was going around knocking the girls over on the floor. We played pin the nose on the clown. Then there was the whole awkward middle school years when he hated me. And then high school - I was finally cool enough to be Alex's friend. I remember standing at my locker, when someone poked me. It was Alex dressed up as Kramer for that evening was to be the last episode of Seinfeld. He said,"so, what do you think?" I felt so honored to be asked my opinion. you are an incredible person Alex - I salute you!

Alex. The stories I could make up about you would never compare to the one Jon just did. How do I know? Because I didn't even bother to read what Jon said. You are a cool dude, one who is only exceeded in coolness by his dudeness. You're a good man, Alex, despite trying to induce the masses to huff gasoline.

alex was my first real crush. i carried a picture of him around in my 'new kids on the block' trapper keeper and told all the girls in my 2nd grade class that he was my boyfriend (so i was bending the truth a bit) i DO recall a time or two when i strapped on the roller blades, and circled the street imagining that we were figure skating partners. then there was the life altering game of "MASH" that sealed our fate as future marriage partners (we were going to live in a mansion in france and have 8 children) so sorry stephanie. alex, or should i say "amoureux" we'll never be as cool as you....none of us.

Posted by: mallory at July 9, 2004 11:54 PM

I remember "MASH" Mallory
Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House
A great way for a young girl to decide her future

Posted by: Autumn at July 9, 2004 11:57 PM

MASH? Wait a minute, that's what you girls were playing on the other side of the playground? That totally kills the mystery for me. I thought it was a secret society of fans of the movie and subsequent television series.

Aw, burn.

Posted by: Captian Jonathan!!! at July 10, 2004 09:37 AM

MASH? hmm never heard of that one .. .i'll have to hear it sometime... play it whatever it may be...

Posted by: itzjerm at July 10, 2004 01:27 PM

You've never heard of MASH?!? It never worked out well for me. I always ended up with 12 kids, married to a loser, and living in a shack :( And I guess that whole 'Who started looking like who first?' debate will forever be a mystery, alot like 'which came first the chicken or the egg'...perhaps the answers to both will be revealed in the new scrolls.

Posted by: Emily at July 10, 2004 01:38 PM

hmm...

ok someone is gonna have to explain this to me... but it may cause the problems i always had playin with other kids... they would say lets play mash... and Instantly, i pulled the scapel out and was like... ok cool. I want to fly the helicoptor to the area where we are doing surgery.

By this point half the people had left the other half had forgot what MASH had been in their mind, and the theme song was being hummed by all...

Posted by: itzjerm at July 10, 2004 01:42 PM

Whenever people tried to get me to play MASH I just started poking them with sticks and throwing hockey pucks at their eyes.

I look forward to the new scroll openings. I imagine it being like the day a new Super BP station opens, except instead of free hot dogs and Coke there will be free manna and alpaca rides for all. Many things will be solved, such as:

Do jackalopes really exist?
Why did God create the platypus?
Are Lifesavers really made from nuclear waste?

and my favorite (which should be a Watchtower study article):

"Country Music: Why Jehovah Allows Evil In This, The Time of The End!"

I have seen the Alex/Autumn ellicit photographs, and they are nothing short of shocking. It's also a well known fact that every girl in Hendersonville has had a crush on Alex at one point and time before and during their early teen years.

Useless fact for the day:

The actual title to the theme-song from M.A.S.H. (the movie and subsequent television series, not the game) is "Suicide is Painless".

I think Emily is making her presence known in preperations for a Friday.
