So last week I had a good visit in New York City. Included in the visit was finally the meeting of Joshua. Yes, the brother of Nathan. (OK sorry already Josh, I mean Nathan is Josh's brother... er uh anyway). So yeah I kept calling Josh Nathan, because the two are just alike (Ok, sorry both of you know, for I have already been denounced by each of you for this statement).
Anyways... for real... Josh is a super cool guy. He took me to some off the better parts of the city. Enjoying some great eats, walking through a monsoon in china town. Good times good times, alls it takes is a crazy person to have fun. Right? (For those confused at this point as to the crazy person is Josh, or myself... well lets just say you need to meet Josh (And Josh... of course I'm talking about myself).
But the adventure in the city was one captured on fillm. You see, I was walking through the park and saw this guy hanging in a tree. As I saw him hanging there, I thought OK, I'm headed into the streets of New York, the best protection from crazy people are crazier people right? So me and Uxbynx (thats his real name, I'm just calling him Josh to make it easier...) headed into the city. As we jumped on the subway, I felt we were being followed. Little did I know we truly were. True I had found a local to show me around, but seems he was an unobservant, local. For later my developed film showed what had happened. Yes New York had gotten the best of ol Josh. But he was quick on the draw and a chase ensued. Soon he caught the young pickpocket. And after a quick pummel of the boy, and a great display of his victory
(and the return of the $2 in his bilfold (for he is a bethalite)). After this we returned home. And I left New York, and Josh remained to provide rides for the governing body to the airport.
oh my.
Posted by: bookyeti at July 3, 2004 03:17 AMHey...this guy looks like Jim Carey.
Posted by: Allen Johnson at July 3, 2004 05:39 AMOh no this is Jim Carrey...
and this....
That's Tyson, he too was at Bethel for a time...I wonder what's in the water there?
Sounds like jerm met a few of his own kind up there. It also sounds like you guys had alot of fun up there. I hope to be able to do the same at one point. But unfortunatly, I'm just not talented enough to be used for anything up there yet.
Posted by: mel at July 3, 2004 09:30 AMpoor kid; two bucks'll buy half-a-hot-dog in chinatown, or three packs of weiners at the commisary...either way, keep the cool new york stories comin'! one quick question: has anyone heard anything about bethel needing male nurses?
Posted by: andrew at July 3, 2004 08:39 PMSounds like fun! Hey Josh!
Posted by: Stephie at July 3, 2004 10:11 PMMale Nurses!!!!! Bro.... I think I had a gaylord falker flashback :-) You don't need too many skills to come to bethel right now (no offence jeremy) a willing spirit and a sledgehammer will work since there is tons of demo and construction going on now.. I have to agree, Jeremy is a crazy dude, but in between breaking and entering, and kamakazee taxi runs he is also a pretty solid fella.. The kids have now ditched me as the coolest guy they know, and are now calling jermey #2 next to their dad :-) You deserve it though bro.. You should have been here for the fireworks last night though, that was tops.. Thanks for letting me make it to the friday spot, and come one come all!!! :-)
Posted by: Josh G at July 5, 2004 09:28 PMGuess I should chime in since he is blood.. It is all lies alllllll!!!! The one thing I can say is that he apparently did not want to sound like me so he picked up the mob and mafia boobonics language such as. "Man","Bro",and "solid"... I speak country redneck and spongebob and spanglish while the rest of the family speaks correct english.
