Scavanger Huntsville

Well Friday was Kate and Amber Friday, then Saturday on a hike I ran across an old video clip. (OK I'm sure that doesnt make sense, but it is what happened). There in the recesses of eternity was found Scavanger HUNTsville. The original wacky scavanger hunt.

The Power Team of Gina, Kate, Amber, n Jerm pulled off an incredible showing! Completing most the task. In fact with this group of gals the question was which of them was going complete each part of the Scavanger Hunt. Not your normal Scavanger (click on the continue reading section).

I believe one of the greatest challenges (other than finding 3 guys named John (You would think it would be easy, and you also would think it wouldnt be so easy for these gals to ask every person we pass if their name was John)... the greatest challenge........Make a dollar buy doing a street show…(dancing, singing, whatever...).........sounds easy enough but a good 10-15 minutes of dancing in front of walmart proved completely fruitless. Ah well..

Scavenger HUNTsville Style

Must Do:

Each team will call the other teams…once…when they call they must explain where they are…and take a group photo…once the calling team finds out where they are, they must then take a group photo there

Spell out one persons name on the teams using pictures of letters around town…using disposable camera…then make 2 orginal group pictures…and 1 picture of each person on the team making a funnny picture and funny face. then get pictures developed at 1 hour photo.

Everyone stand in the spring in downtown. Group photo.

Must go get a different color pen for each member of the team…then write on the back of each others neck 1 word to describe them…(you can’t tell what you wrote).

Make a group photo in front of the rocket at space camp.

5 points:

Buy a rose give it to an old lady.

Group shot on the carousel in front of a department store

Get your group picture made with a group of strangers.

A picture of everyone trying to catch a duck…if you actually get it you get 15 bonus points.

Find a quarter machine tattoo….everyone get tattoos and put them on.

Go to a store, ask for you french fries to still be frozen. If you get them 5 bonus points.

At a drive thru, give the cashier a $1 bill and then drive off before he gives you the food.

Team Choices:

10 points:

Go to a store and engage in a conversation with a sales representative…you must count the number of times you say uh…and the minimum requirement is 30.

Ask a random person to dance with you in a music store.

Go up to a random person and ask them “do you believe in true love?”, then tell them you don’t.

Take a picture of 3 guys named John.

Call a random person on a pay phone and engage in a conversation with them for at least 2 minutes.

Get cotton left over from a cotton field and use the cotton to dress up one of the people like they look old…this will also require tape to tape it to their face.

Buy 1 item from the Chinese grocery store on Jordan lane…you must buy something you don’t know what is….and everyone in the group must try it.

Buy a hamburger using only pennies…

Make a flower wreath with artificial flowers, purchase it , and then one team member must wear it for 1 hour.

Buy a T-shirt…put it on one team member and get 10 strangers to sign it…

Get someone to let you comb their hair.

Team Choices:

15 points:

Have the group go through a drive though without a car, yet acting as if everyone is in the car….must purchase something (or attempt).

Make a dollar buy doing a street show…(dancing, singing, whatever)…

Buy some shampoo and wash the hair of one person in a car wash.

Go inside a music store listen to a song (with headphones on) while singing it out loud where everybody can hear you and act like nobody else is around (for an entire song).

Get somebody to race you in a foot race. The rest of the team members must cheer you on…

Walk into a restaurant and boldly announce: "Free milkshakes for everybody--on me!" and then dig in your pockets and say: "HEY, all my money! Where's my money!"and then run outside.

Go to the mall and try on an outfit that is WAY too big (hat, shirt, pants, etc.) and ask the person working there if they think it's too small or it makes you look fat...don’t forget to get a picture of that one.

Talk on and on about how great the candy bar you are eating is…where someone can hear you…then pull one out of your pocket and insist it on someone…they must take it and begin eating it…

Team Choices:

You MUST drive the speed limit…don’t drive like you usually do. If you get arrested you’re disqualified. The winning team gets to choose which of the ones not done the opposing teams must do when we are finished eating. If you don’t complete the things the team must do you are disqualified. Have fun…take lots of pictures, and film to prove each thing was performed.
