Moby - Play (1999)

mby2.jpg

This album shows really how Moby has matured in comparison to his first album. But it also shows the beauty of electronic music. Still using the catchiness of repetition, Moby decides to pull in deeper thought through extended lyrics. Lines such as "In my dreams I'm dying all the time" and "Some people just go to church to get a date with their neighbors wife " give much to ponder and expound upon in ones mind. True this album has been played to death and showed up in countless movies, but it truly is an inspiration to any electronic music fan.

Moby - Moby (1992)

The man I owe all my appreciation in music too. The year was 1992. I hated music. Yes I would tell people "I don't like music." Then I started studying with one of my classmates. I taught him the Bible, he taught
me to appreciate music. Moby was the secret. His first album was simple, in today's standards, but it was a breakthrough in Hard Core Techno at the time. It is in fact still a Techno mainstay. No deep words or thoughts.just recurring words "Go", "Up, Up", "Everthing's Gonna Be Alright", "Have You Seen My Baby?". The simplicity, driving beat, new sounds, it was all-new to me.and it was just what I needed to begin to like music again. Get it, pop it in, and you'll never stop moving.

Orbital - Orbital(2) "The Brown Album" (1992)

The best work by Orbital and one of the greatest Techno Albums of all time. This is not your normal repetitive beat techno work. Although the introductory song may scare you for is repetitiveness "Where time becomes a loop." No instead this is pure techno genius. Showing that techno is a viable medium for true music. The greatest thing is it is beautiful and makes your feet move too. Halcyon+On+On remains one of the greatest Techno works of all time and Lush 3-1 and Lush 3-2 are right up there. This album shows that Ambient Techno can be soothing, eerie, and suretheral while still making you move. It is albums like this that inspire me to take my stab into the genera.
